Crocheted Food

My sister's very special friend Anthony had a Birthday last month. He has trouble making PB&J sandwiches. For some reason, even though I don't enjoy crocheting, I was flipping through this book at AC Moore. When I saw the PB&J sandwich, I knew I had to buy the book. So, without further ado, the perfect PB&(grape)J sandwich!

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the visit over at my blog tonight. To answer your question there really isn't special named technique to make that layered flower. It's one shuttle, done in one round. The 1st ring is a small ring, 2nd ring is a large ring (do not join) 3rd ring is a small ring again and join to the 1st ring, then 4th ring is a large ring joined to the 2nd ring (which was the first large one). I hope that has not confused you, but has shed some light on the subject for you.

I think I have seen crocheted food once before on a blog from an Asian area. What will people crochet next! Sometimes I think it's all been done and then something new comes up, LOL!

Sarah- Thanks!

Tatting - Thanks for the info! It looks like a really interesting technique, I'd love to try it sometime.
