Quilled Coasters

I finally finished these quilled coasters. The pattern is from The Book of Paper Quilling: Techniques & Projects for Paper Filigree by Malinda Johnston.

For some reason I had bought 4 of the coaster 'blanks', so I decided to design my own coaster:
I'm not entirely happy with it, but for the first time designing a quilled piece, it's pretty good. I also challenged myself to use up the short strips and random shapes that seem to be accumulating at an alarming rate.

Tatted Bookmark

I have this really bad habit of spending way too much time on Facebook. About two weeks ago, I found a tatting group. Of course I had to join it. The person who started the group wondered if anyone would be interested in doing a project a month. There must have been enough intrest, because the project for June is a bookmark. This is my progress so far:

I would be farther along, but when I started I didn't realize that it was done with CTM (Continuous Thread Method). The pattern is Julie Patterson's Hearts and Flower Cross Bookmark. Incidentally, this will be the first bookmark that I've tatted for myself. Every other bookmark that I've tatted has been given away.

Beaded Fan Pulls

I'm not sure where or how I got this idea. I had a difficult time deciding on colors, but I'm very pleased with the finished results. There might even be some in my Etsy shop at some point. The picture on the left is of the set I made for myself. On the right, the ones I made for my Mom.
